At Sorrisinho, we believe the earliest years of life are the most powerful time to acquire a language — and that this learning happens naturally, through songs, stories, and play. Our mission is to create a loving, stimulating environment where children in Silver Spring grow with Portuguese as part of who they are.
Inspired by the richness of Brazilian culture — its musicality, creativity, and joy of living — we weave traditions, rhythms, and the Portuguese language into every moment of the day. Research shows that bilingual children develop stronger cognitive skills, greater empathy, and lifelong mental flexibility.

Sorrisinho will serve children from infancy through preschool age, subject to state licensing. Each age group will have a developmentally appropriate curriculum, always with Portuguese as the guiding thread.
